JUNIOR CAMERA OPERATOR & EDITOR

Job Description

Create is looking for a talented creative camera operator and editor to join their London Office as a full time member of the team.  The role will enable the selected candidate to develop their skills in end-to-end production, including camera assisting and filming, editing, animation and design work. This exciting role will offer opportunity to work on shoots in the UK and across Europe and create content for some of the UKs leading brands.  The perfect candidate will be able to work under pressure and enjoy the fast paced environment at Create.

Job Responsibilities

  • Filming of live events and projects; to capture content that match a client’s brief
  • Editing (e.g. internal videos, highlight reels, web videos, broadcast spots, social media videos, documentaries) using the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Design – creative visual design showing events at the planning and pitch stage
  • Categorising and storing all material on shared central drive

Person Specification

  • Creative and technical skills necessary to film and operate professional camera equipment
  • Enjoy the post-production process and have existing skills to enable editing long and short-form video projects using the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Technologically savvy; able and willing to learn new software
  • Creative with regard to multiple designed elements
  • Energetic and an innovative thinker
  • Able to work on multiple projects and manage time efficiently
  • Flexible, with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Must be willing to travel abroad for filming/work irregular hours
  • Communicative and well organised
  • A team player 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience: minimum of 6 months experience in video production and editing (either in the work place or University degree)
  • Software: proficient in using Adobe CC (Premier Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop) and FCP
  • Creativity: be able to contribute new ideas and solutions
  • Attention to detail: high standards of care and effort taken with final videos, in all areas such as audio, titles, graphics and colour grading
  • Able to multitask and work on numerous projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of professional cameras and lighting set-up
  • Proficiency on Mac
  • Interest in design work
  • Motion graphics and animations (desirable but not essential)
  • Photography skills are a bonus (desirable but not essential)

ADMIN ASSISTANT 

Job Description

Create is looking for a new Admin Assistant to join the team.  This role will work across the company assisting the Production team, Commercial team, Managing Director and performing certain office admin tasks.

Primarily, you will need to be super organised, but in addition you will be tidy, methodical, have excellent organisational skills and be able to work at speed in a busy environment and sometimes under time pressure deadlines.

The successful candidate will have:

A production, office admin or PA background, either through working at a media company or a busy office in any industry.

Competent in using a variety of office based software; e.g. word, excel, keynote, powerpoint, sage etc.

They will be able to apply common sense and make decisions when delegated tasks

Excellent communication skills in order be an effective team player, working with colleagues, clients and suppliers to ensure tasks and projects run smoothly

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing office tasks to assist the smooth operating of the London office
  • Supporting the Managing Director with admin tasks
  • Supporting Producers with project organisation
  • Working with the Commercial team to create support material, presentations and budgets
  • Assisting the finance team with admin tasks

Remuneration: Depending on skills and experience, however please note this is a junior assistant role
